Actually, I used to run xntpd on my IIci. It worked alright, but would lose
time during heavy disk access. To prevent the "too far out of sync"
problem, I ran a cron script that killed xntpd every night at midnight, ran
ntpdate, and then restarted xntpd. This seemed to keep my average drift at
around 20 seconds. (by comparison, my Solaris boxes at work are typically
within a quarter second, as is my LinuxPPC box at home :)
