For some reason when I su, I don't get all root commands like disklabel =
and shutdown and reboot. I used to be able to do this without actually =
logging in as root. The only things I can do while in su now is copy =
files from place to place that a normal user can't do. And by the way, =
yes, I have added myself to wheel. Oh, I'm using NcFTP for the first =
time, and when I try to boot the app in visual mode, I get this message:
Error opening terminal: xterm
or when I'm not using X, I get this message:
Error opening terminal: vt220
When I boot the app with the -L (line mode) switch, everything works =
fine. What am I doing wrong? Do I have the terminfo dir in the wrong =
place? If so, where should it be?
thanks in advance,
km
