IIRC the SE supports neither NetBSD, nor OpenBSD, nor Linux because 
it comes with a MC68000 processor which lacks a PMMU (Paging Memory 
Manager Unit?)
as well as an arithmetic coprocessor, furthermore the 68000 is a 16 
bits processor. However you could look at µLinux or MINIX or, if you 
can, upgrade to a SE/30.
