Hi, everyone!

I'm trying to run NetBSD on a PB 190 off an external SCSI disk, and
I've found that using the SBC kernel is actually the only way to get
this thing to boot, whereas the GENERIC kernel seems to work (well,
sort of) on my LC 475. So my first, extra-newbie question is, has this
SBC kernel something PB-specific? What does the SBC mean anyway?

But my real problem with the 190 is, I can't seem to be able to get the
root filesystem to mount read-write. If I don't check "Single user" in
the Booter, the boot process hangs after "root on sd0a dumps on sd0b"
(that is, before filesystem checks, I think). If I check "Single user"
it actually boots, but the root filesystem gets mounted read-only, and
if I try to remount it read-write I get the following error:

panic: unexpected bus error in sbc_pdma_out()
Stopped in mount_ffs at Debugger +0x6: unlk a6

Any ideas about that one? I know that the 190 isn't supported yet, but
I thought, trying can't hurt.

Thanks in advance!
