<mini-rant>
I keep getting promised that cable modem availability is "just a couple of
weeks away."  It's been three weeks now since the first availability date
has passed, and it's now said to be mid-January.  I see cable trucks in the
neighborhood, here and there and now and again, so just maybe.....  If it
wasn't so hard to do a sup over a modem connection (tons of serial errors),
I wouldn't mind so much....
