Hello,

I've got a new install of NetBSD 1.4.1 running on my IIci (68mg RAM,
internal video) with just the standard kern.tgz kernal, works great. The
problem is I'd like to get my 68040 40mhz Daystar accelerator card to work
with NetBSD and was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting it to work
and
could give me some pointers.

There is a link to some kernals in the info FAQ that Kevin Radke had worked
on
for the Daystar accelerators, but neither the link or his email are active
anymore.

What happens when the card is installed is it starts out booting fine, but
only gets through the first four lines, the last of which is "Onboard video
at.... Then the line after that that it dosn't get to when the card is
installed is "[preserving 3599... bytes of NetBSD a.out symbol table]"
followed by the Netbsd copyright lines.
When it hangs the screen fills with black and white vertical lines.

I've downloaded Daystar's QuadControl control panel to try and set
different cache settings, but it doesn't make a difference.

Any ideas of what I might try?

Thanks!

Andrew
