Actually there is a running sysinst/mac68k Installation Kernel, at least
it worked for me. The patches to the kernel sources haven't made it into
the tree yet, but they have been posted via PR. If anyone wants to try a
1.4.1 version sysinst they can contact me and I'll make it available for
testing. It does eliminate the need for Mkfs and the Installer, but it
can't handle loading the tarballs from an HFS disk yet so they must
either be accessible on CDROM or via network connection.
