Well, beyond the basic principle that bloat is bad, that's a good
idea.
MkLinux and LinuxPPC both just support all those Apple (read, Epson)
printers without complaint in my experience.
Perhaps it should still be a port-mac*-specific package, or a pkgsrc
kind of thing, though... one of the things that's really raised my
hackles about Apple's system installs is that, even if I tell it I
only want LaserWriter 8 and Dekstop Printing (or, worse yet, I only
want one specific SytleWriter), I get drivers for every printer that
version of MacOS supports. Wastes space in the memory footprint and
on disk.
