You can get a program called "transmac" which will read hqx files and write
the proper image to a floppy disk. I managed to download 7.5.3 to an M$
machine, use transmac to write all 18 or so disks to floppy, then copy the
data from floppy onto the mac, and install 7.5.3.
A pain switching 18 floppies, but hey - NetBSD boots on my mac now. It's
worth it if you ask me ;-)
Funny enough, I was upgrading the mac from system 7.1, so it should work no
problem for you.
