Thank you everyone,
I my haste to recover space on my SE/30, I deleted /bin/[.
Which goes to show that if you don't know what it does leave it
alone. anyway the responses I received from the list pointed me in
the right direction. I replaceed /bin/[ with a fresh copy and
everything is working again.
In my network of 7 machines, my SE/30 is my hardest working and most
reliable. If it weren't for user error, it would be flawless.
