  Well, I got ppp-990916.tar.gz from the site you told me, however the
result was the same as my source( got the same error).
As usual, I DID *dirty* quick hack to complete the make, though.  ;-)
  Now I'm using it to post this mail onto my mail server.  Seems it
works well as well.
