After upgrading my Mac IIci with a new harddrive & NetBSD 1.4, I've started
to reconstruct my internal network (I was previously running 1.3.1).  After
configuring /etc/hosts, /etc/ifconfig.ae0, /etc/resolv.conf, and
/etc/rc.conf using the various FAQ's, I haven't been able to get the
internal IP network to work (Netatalk, however, does work).

After startup, if I type "ifconfig ae0 inet 192.168.3.1 netmask
255.255.255.0" the network does startup, and I can ping, ftp, telnet, etc. 


Also, if I put the line "inet 192.168.3.1 netmask 255.255.255.0" _twice_ in
/etc/ifconfig.ae0, the network starts up fine upon booting.

Any ideas?  Using SLOTMAN MRG NCR v 1.4I kernel
