For what it's worth, that would not work with the Stylus Pro either.

It works with ':br#57600:xc#0177777:ms=cdtrcts,-parity,ixon,-opost:'

When I first set up that printer, cdtrcts wasn't implemented, but now
I use it with ppp all the time. Just a thought.
