Addnerd can be a good utility if you'll need to be doing this on a
regular basis, but you'll probably want to weed through it's
configuration and the default files it installs.

If this is a "one time" or "once in a blue moon" thing, there are
instructions for adding a new user in the Documentation section of
www.netbsd.org and also an Adduser HOWTO in the HowTo section of
http://www.macbsd.com/macbsd. Doing it once by hand is about as much
work as configuring addnerd.

Also, IIRC, addnerd gets installed in /usr/pkg/sbin which you may or may
not have added to your path.
