Not only reports an error - the card does *NOT* work on the IIci, but
does it nicely on the IIsi.

What does IIRC mean?

PS. It's a pity, since I got that Asante card because listed among the
compatibles (differently from the NuvoLink I had before and I didn't
feel prepared well enough to customize NetBSD for) :((
