Ok, yes. We're reading an offset of 0x1000 from the video controller. I
remember somebody else
had a problem with their LC475 not working with the offset as well.
Apparently the controller
in the 475/575 is different enough so that it doesn't work correctly. It's
supposed to be a type 5
DAFB-style controller but I had somebody with a 475 return a type 7
controller. I don't yet know
how to deal with type 7 controllers and they are apparently different
enough to cause problems.

I'll have to investigate this more.
