   Maybe I can, strangely enough.  I had the same problem with my quadra
610.  I think some people are running 1.3.3 with a 1.3.2 kernel because of
a ppp problem with 1.3.3 kernel.  

  I received this advice from Dr Bill:

"....   Compile a 1.3.3 kernel, but with the sys/dev/ic/z8530tty.c file
replaced by the one in 1.3.2. I introduced a bug in 1.3.3 which this
change will revert. "
