Nigel and/or Kim,

Did you ever get this problem fixed? I just unexpectedly changed drives 
on BSD box thanks to a HD crash, and attempting a re-install...it is a 
large drive and I am now having a similar if not the same problem as Kim, 
where it hangs before the screen blanks....

in answer to the questions posed here for Kim

1) Booter 1.11.3
2) macOS 7.5.3 (i can upgrade or downgrade as needed)
3) wnat y output at debug level 6??? <g>
