Well, I guess that the sacrifice was not taken to kindly but the gods of 
ethernet and TCP/IP

I can now connect to the net and ping anything (albeit slower than it 
seemingly should be) from the NetBSD box, and I can telnet to the NetBSD 
box from the Mac, however...I cannot telnet from the Mac to my work 
computer, surf the web, send/receive email, etc.

ideas??
