I am new to NetBSD but loving it!

I am trying to configure the network interface according to the HOW-TO 
instructions. If i create a 'ifconfig.sn0' config file the system hangs 
or the kernel report an illegal trap at startup. I'm running on a Quadra 
610 and the dmesg command shows an ethernet control of the sn type. Is 
there something I'm missing? Any other instructions I should look into?
