Huh? The 4.4BSD derived make (which, according to the PSD tutorial that
comes with NetBSD, is derived from the Berkeley Sprite project's "pmake"
tool) probably has common roots with GNU make in Unix 7 or so...

Although gmake is in widespread use, it is not "the" make tool.
