Seems like this would be in the FAQ somewhere, but ZIPs generally need a 
kernel with the SBC driver.  There should be a GENERIC-SBC kernel for you 
to use.

The LC040 might be giving you some problems too but I'll let someone more 
knowledgeable address that.

I assume you mean one filesystem as well as one swap partition.
