Well, I have tried to get around this myself... but either everybody 
knows a lot more than I do... or I am missing something (both things 
could be true :-(

When I try to run startx I get the message

X connection to: 0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown)

I have searched the FAQ and web pages, but could not find a clue about 
this. I have already run ldconfig.

Any help!? Any URL to check?
