well, if you boot in 1000's of colors, this will happen automatically.
otherwise, you'd have to edit a few things in ite.c (the console driver).

personally, i'd just use 'dt'.  it allows you to do inverse video, but
even better:  it provides virtual terminals and cut'n'paste via the mouse.
you can find a copy on ftp.macbsd.com, i believe...

no one has implemented such a feature as of yet, unless you're running X,
in which case there are a number of screensaver option.  if you want, you
can write such a program yourself.  i don't think it'd be all that
hard....
