Well, I finally got the thing to install.

Thanks, everyone, for the advice.

I am not sure which one did it, exactly, but I reduced the size of the 
partition from 1.4 gig down to 850 megs. I also moved the A/UX partition 
to the front of the drive, to make it first.

It insalled just fine. And, it made it all the way through.

So, thanks.

But, don't count your blessings too soon, I am sure I will be back with 
many more questions.
