On the other hand, spending $250 on a machine that has been obsolete for at
least 4 years now and which can be obtained (the whole machine) for much
less than $200 used (I got mine for $2, no that's not a typo, it's actually
two dollars, a year ago) seems somewhat extreme.....

Call me cheap, but I'm not willing to spend $250 upgrading my SE/30.  Don't
get me wrong, I'd love to have the extra performance...but even if the
SE/30 were my primary machine, $250 to upgrade it seems steep.
