Run 'xconsole', and add it to your session. If your not using a GENERIC
kernel, your kernel needs to be compiled with "options UCONSOLE".

'xconsole' will probably fix that as well.

Not sure what you mean by a "mapping". In XFree86, you emulate the middle
button by pressing both buttons simultaneously. Does anyone know if the
mac68k Xserver can do that?
