I'm pretty clueless . . .:((

I did a surface scan without any relevant result: the hd seems to be ok.

Now, re-formatting and configuring the partitions, I notice this (and
seems strange to me):

In Mkfs the hd values are shown as this (when I format Usr partitions
set up before with HD SC Setup):

Sectorsize: 512
Blocksize: 8192
Bytes/Sector (Hardware): 512
Sectors/Track: 113
Tracks/Cylinder: 20
Num Cylinder: 3708
Bytes/Inode: 4096
Cylinders/Group: 16
Spare Sectors/Track 0
File System Size: 378992

Now, formatting I'm getting this alert, before Mkfs starts to format:

warning: 1720 sector(s) in the last cylinder unallocated

I also got a warning when I formatted the root and the swap partition.
Is this somewhat related to my troubles?
