I downloaded the perl-5.00404.tgz package and (I think) I installed it
properly.

Perl, itself, seems to work properly. However, when I try to read any of
the man pages, I get the following error:

	man: Formatting manual page...
	/usr/bin/nroff: not found

So, I went looking for nroff, but have so far failed to find it. (I did
find something called "unroff", but I'm not sure that's what I want).

What do I need to do to have the perl man pages work properly?

Also, how do I use the "pod" files?
