Two notes regarding SLOTMAN:

1) I've updated the pre-compiled kernels and sources to be -current as
   of August 24th.

2) You no longer have to use ftp to access the SLOTMAN stuff.  Now
   there's a www alternative (yep - I finally got Apache up and
   running)!  Try

	http://www/whooppee.com/slotman.html
