You don't necessarily have to reformat to repartition.  Poke around and
find someone with hard disk toolkit and norton utilities.  Use norton
utilities' speed disk to compact the data to the front of the partition,
then use hard disk toolkit to shrink the partition.  That only works with
standard HFS, not HFS+, but since this is the 68k list, that's practically
a moot point anyway.

MacOS.  NetBSD-mac68k is booted via a program that you run within MacOS.
