Ah, but the Q700 won't do 16-bit color (why Apple did this, I don't quite
know).  Quite a shame.  I just hope Ken manages to get 24-bit color
working in the X server at some point :-)

Of course, Michael Zucca has promised something useful on the color front
_soon_, so perhaps 8-bit color will be working in the next few weeks...
