Thanks for your help on this one, but I have one more question.
I've used three different terminal programs on my powerbook 520
connecting to my IIci, and they all give me this problem:
I'm running csh on my account, and I try to do the following:
cat>foo.uue
<send a text file from the mac>
<type control-d (you know, EOF:)>
and the control-d shows up as ^D.
backspace doesn't actually rubout the characters, It displays
a ^H, and simarly for other things.
you know, useful things like control-z...
I can fire up vi and get useful control character processing,
but not in the shell.
I've tried White Knight 11, zterm 0.9(powerbook mercury version),
and a free program called terminal 2.2 that includes the source:)
All give me simlar problems no matter what they are set to emulate
or what the IIci thinks it's working on.
(I've tried vt102 and tty for /etc/ttys entries, as I don't have a
program to emulate a vt 220 over a serial line. BetterTelnet's
developer says that serial capability is going to be added later,
I might just do it myself since it's GNU:)
Any ideas?
