I was running in 8-bit mode.  That's the maximum depth for 1024x768.  I can
run in 16-bit mode at a lower resolution, but I'll sacrifice real estate.

That's what fvwm is for, anyway. :)

Thanks for the tip.  I guess OSFA's README didn't make the restriction clear.
