Have we ever tried to determine the difference between the ncr and sbc SCSI
drivers in the way they handle the drives (i.e. in the SCSI command
sequences that they issue), so that whatever sbc is doing right for a
certain class of drives can be incorporated into the MI SCSI "quirk"
mechanism?
