To shortly answer my own question earlier...
I _finally_ made it to the ethernet status page this morning (couldn't
connect before/after I sent the last message re: ethernet to the list.
so, my problem remains....
ae0 at nubus0 slot a: failed to determine size of RAM
ae0 at nubus0 slot c: failed to determine size of RAM
ae0 at nubus0 slot e: failed to determine size of RAM
at startup.
My question this time is a little different. I have pulled the ethernet
card fromthe machine in hopes of finding it being supported on the
ethernet status page. Here is what I have came up with and am hoping
that one of the ethernet gurus can tell me this would be asy to support.
My Card:
Brand : Asante
Type : MacCon for LC
Apparent Chipset: DP83932BVF
(Little Square Chip just left and below center when looking at card with
nubus connector on right and rj45 port away from me)
I have noticed that on the ethernet status page that the Quadra 610,650,
700 and 800 use the DP83932 (sonic) and that the following also have
similar(?) chipsets.
Cayman GatorcardPDS SE/30 DP83932(Sonic)
Dayna DaynaPortE/30 SE/30 DP83932VF (Sonic)
Now finally down to the question....
How difficult would it be to add support for this card, so that I can add
this little guy to my
little at home Network?
Thanks in Advance
Greg
