  I have one that once in a while will sometimes not start, if it
has been running from the UPS during the power off time.  It was my
understanding that the power supply kept some power on to the ADB
for the power button, even when the machine is off.

  When mine does this, unplugging it from the UPS power for a few
seconds seems to reset it so it wills start fine.  You might want
to check and see if this is the case with yours.

  You might have a problem with the power supply.
