Hey guys. I just got 2 NuBus cards, and for some reason I can't get
either of them to work. The first one I got is an 'Apple High Resolution
Display Card'. The dates on teh card ar 1988, 1989 (If that means
anything). When I plug this card in, and attach the monitor, and then
turn the machine on the start-up sound chimes, and then nothing. The
machine doesn't even continue to boot. IF I pull out the card and attach
the montor ti the built-in video, then it'll continue to boot. Any Ideas?
The second card is a 'Relax Technology 200'. It comes with 2 rom chips,
a 1024x728 and a 832x638 res ROMs. Now, with both of the chips, it does
the same thing. When it starts up it goes through some sort of test
sequence I think. Instead of being like a solid background changing
colors, it a series of horizontal lines. Quite a few, but they are like
staggering and jumping around. It's so bad you can't even make out whats
on the screen. Even though it does this, it will continue to bood. No
problem. Any ideas with this one? I think it could be my monitor. I am
using a 'Macintosh Color Display'. Maybe the monitor can't support these
resolutions? That doesn't make any sence tho considering that this card
was made in 88, 89 as well.
To test my monitor theory tho, I'm going to bring the monitor to work and
test it on a 'Apple 1705' display and see if it works there.
Here's my setup. Macintosh IIvx. 12 RAM, 1.2 gb HD, MacOS 7.5.5.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks alot!
Chris
Ps - Mr. Zucca, hows the intvid coming? Do you see a release any time in
the near future?
