I'm using a IIvx. I often get a frozen debugger when I hit the switch.
About as often, I get a debugger and I can do a "trace" but then it
freezes after giving me the trace. Sometimes, (rarely), I get a debugger
that works fine and I can do as many commands as I want without freeze.
When the debugger freezes, I've never worried about it since
system is usually hosed when I hit the switch and I am happy to get a
trace when I can. Your question makes me wonder, could it be a bug that
makes the debugger freezes like that?
I tried hitting the switch when the system is working just fine (I tried
during boot and also in single user after boot). Even in this "non-hosed"
situation, I get the debugger but it freezes after a few commands.
Could somebody make light on this?
Ben.
PS: I'm using the 1.3 distrib kernel.
