I get the same thing with my MouseMan.
This is due to a bug in the HWDIRECT ADB driver (specifically in the
II-series hardware support). According to a message from John last week,
he has fixed it now, and he has patches available. Take a look at his ftp
directory on puma for the patches. I think they should cleanly apply to
-current.
