Why is the kernels/netbsd-GENERIC.gz file different from the sets/kern.tgz
file?

Oh, one's a gzipped file and the other is a gzipped tar of the same file, I
guess.  Yes, they have the same checksum.

OK, next question:  Why do we have both of them?
