If the full version does what you want it to, I wouldn't
try to discourage you.  I'd just suggest that, if you wanted
some low-level support, they're not particularly good at it.

Yes indeed -- that's what I tried to explain to them, but the
frontline support person didn't understand, didn't want to try,
and didn't seem too interested in moving me a little closer
to their engineer.  I suspect they'd assigned my case to a
relatively new engineer there.

That might've helped -- however, I've burnt my bridges now,
so I've given up.  The support person, however, DID respond
to my email (perhaps because I forwarded it to all of her
bosses), apologizing for seeming snotty.  Of that, I was
quite amazed.
