I second this idea. I see all sorts of ick w/ a vt220, but a vt100 seems
fine.

The problem is that the tset on the other system is setting parameters
in the mac's terminal emulation which are keeping the screen messed
up. It's not an attribute of the other computer at that point, so
it stays even if you log out.
