I recently grabbed the latest SLOTMAN kernel thinking I'd give it
another try on this Q605 before putting the IIci back in place
here.  This is circa Dec. 10 so its as new as it gets.
This is the result:

Got past the esp odd address fault seen with the last kernel...
Tried it twice just to be sure...failed exactly the same way 
each time.
