This sounds like a config problem rather than a driver problem.  You are
creating an /etc/ifconfig.mc0 file, right?  If your IP number is 193.1.2.3
then it should look something like:

inet 193.1.2.3 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 193.1.2.255

The rest of the network configuration follows the existing networking howto
document that I did for version 1.2.
