Please don't pigeon-hole Rhapsody like that - ideally it will be good
enough, and PowerPC Mac owners will be willing enough to just move to it.
Apple hasn't decided exactly how to promote it, so lets leave it open for
now.

And besides, who wants to associate Rhapsody with the lousy-vanilla OS
created by the guy who did VAX/VMS? :-P

Rhapsody: Mach Microkernel + *BSD UNIX (integral virtual paging/memory
protection, pre-emptive multithreading), with Display PostScript on top

BeOS: Microkernel + POSIX-compliancy + BeOS-sepcific APIs (integral
virtual paging/memory protection, pre-emptive multithreading)

POSIX-compliant UNIX software compiles under both. Rhapsody will be a
full *BSD distribution. BeOS comes bundled with a slew of UNIX software
already compiled, and has a built-in bash shell. Rhapsody can use just
about any shell.

Rhapsody IS a full UNIX! It's BSD with a DPS engine on top!!!
