Use popclient!  Its easier, and faster.  Fetchmail is ten times
slower for me on my Red Hat Linux box, than using popclient on the
very same machine!  It is more capable for pre-processing, etc, but
if all you want to do is to POP your own mail, popclient does it and
does it better on a single command line.
