If you're using csh or a csh-like shell (and maybe others too?), you need
to do a "rehash". csh looks through your path for binaries just once when
it starts up, and saves the info so it doesn't have to do it for every
command. rehash tells it to look through your path again.

Dunno if a Linux one'll work... aren't the passwd file formats
slightly different?
