I've found that using GENERIC-48, the line "ttyflags -a" in /etc/rc
will set the flags for console and ttye0, but will hang when trying to
set the flags for tty00. This occurred even if nothing is connected
to the serial ports. When I switched back to GENERIC-47, ttyflags
ran through /etc/ttys without any problems.

I have a Mac LC III + FPU running 1.3_ALPHA from 8 Nov 97.

Hopefully, this will help someone more knowledgeable to track down the
problem.
