i just thought of something:

how about making an option in the booter called "syslog" or something that
will log every specification pertaining to booting into NetBSD into a local
MacOS file before it boots into netbsd, so that fixing people's machines
would be less difficult - all they would have to do would be to mail us the
file.

some specifications would include machine type, version of system software,
macsbug yes/no, ram size, disks+partitions, all cards on all slots-types
(interrupt levels?), amount of ram allocated to booter, etc...
